When we first partnered with OLLY to shoot their Happy Inside Out brand anthem spot in late 2020, we knew it had to be bold enough to catapult the brand into the spotlight in 2021. And what better way to fully expand the delightful OLLYverse we’d dreamed up than joining forces with the unstoppable Rebel Wilson — who OLLY recently inked as an official Brand Ambassador. As an avid OLLY user already, Rebel embodied Happy Inside Out, and her authenticity and excitement for the campaign was contagious.

While our Happy Inside Out campaign showcased OLLY as part of the everyday, our collaboration with Rebel emphasized how a wellness ritual with OLLY can inspire and empower you to be truly unstoppable — from wakeup to workout to full-glam photo shoot (if that happens to be penciled into your schedule). Behind the scenes, Rebel had just completed a year-long health journey of her own, with OLLY gummies playing a starring role. As a Brand Ambassador, Rebel’s genuine commitment to wellness — and to OLLY — became the heart of our story.

A Dose of Color.

Our goal was to dream big in color. We concepted the creative, and then partnered with female owned-and-operated production company EPOCH, and Director Emma Westenberg, to help us bring our vision to life. What we created was a world that showcased Rebel’s down-to-earth humor and her shine, as powered by OLLY. Our approach highlighted Rebel and OLLY’s shared characteristics — playful and irreverent, yet relatable and human — and united them in a fearlessly magical world of color.

When it came time for choreography, we focused heavily on pace and momentum, and how Rebel could be the driving force behind the story. The scripts we wrote left room for Rebel to be Rebel — powerful, dynamic, and fun — and the set design supported the freedom of movement that makes each of these spots feel expansive, yet interconnected.

Emma’s direction helped seamlessly link each scene into the next, creating a visual representation of the elevated, meta-world of Rebel. Fluid transitions allow her effortless sense of humor to shape the story, and stitch together all her day’s little moments in one non-stop sequence — with OLLY gummies energizing her every step of the way.

Making Magic Together.

Together, we worked synergistically, energetically, and — in true OLLYfied style — happily, inside and out. We moved rapidly, incorporating both Rebel’s ideas and OLLY’s feedback to approve concepts and scripts in 3 weeks. With our partners we built whimsical, otherworldly sets on a tight schedule. We exercised strict health and safety protocols, including on-set rapid testing. And, in two shoot days, we captured content for what became a 360 campaign: 4 Brand Spots, 15 Photography Stills, 13 Social Videos/Gifs, and 1 Spotify Audio Ad. Most of all, we created a world that could be stepped into and experienced, both in static form and in motion.

Working closely with EPOCH, Rebel, and OLLY, we conquered each step of the production process — from concept ideation to pre-production to shoot to post — and realized an even brighter creative vision than we’d set out to. This campaign leveraged our nimbleness and flexibility as a studio, and sharpened our capability for airtight production planning: we were able to ensure a vibrant, larger-than-life vision could come to life under tight constraints, and we balanced virtual production with boots-on-the-ground oversight. It’s safe to say both Rebel and OLLY rubbed off on us as we told this story — together, we were non-stop unstoppable.
